Government rejects report critical of media law

Ecuador’s foreign ministry released a statement on 4 November rejecting a report from the United Nations (UN) and the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) released the previous day that criticised the application of the organic communications law (LOC) of the government led by President Rafael Correa for stifling freedom of expression and opinion in the country.
