MEXICO: Opposition accuses López Obrador of electoral meddling
On 26 March Fuerza y Corazón por México, Mexico’s main opposition alliance, filed a formal complaint with the national electoral institute (INE) accusing President Andrés Manuel López Obrador of intervening illicitly and inappropriately in the campaign for the general elections due to be held on 2 June.

ARGENTINA: Fighter jet purchase confirmed
On 26 March Argentina’s defence minister, Luis Petri, signed a letter of intent with his Danish counterpart Troels Lund Poulsen, to purchase 24 US-made Lockheed Martin F-16As fighter aircraft from Denmark.
