NICARAGUA: Public wants Alemán and Ortega to retire

President Enrique Bolaños has just received confirmation that he has not been preaching in the desert. Most Nicaraguans agree with his portrayal of former presidents Daniel Ortega and Arnoldo Alemán as relics of the past; caudillos who should recognise that the time has come for them to step down. Or so suggests an extensive opinion survey conducted by the local pollsters M&R.
