AUTO INDUSTRY: What a year, so far
The vehicle industry in Mexico is having a terrific year, but only
because of sales to the US. According to figures from the Asociación Mexicana de
la Industria Automotriz (Amia), domestic market sales in the first quarter were
down 3.3% year-on-year. Exports, however, rose 87% and production grew
79%.
