ARGENTINA: Looking better

Tax receipts in March were up 31.6% year-on-year at Arg$28.5bn (US$7.33bn). In 2009,   tax receipts rose 13.2% to reach Arg$304.9bn (US$78.99bn). This year, the economy is likely to get a boost from a bumper soya harvest, which should increase the government's export tariff revenues by about US$1bn over a full year, compared with 2009.
