VENEZUELA: Big questions unanswered

Although the government is going through the routine of governing such as setting a budget for 2012, no-one knows whether the country is set for another five years of President Hugo Chávez; a complete change of government; or a bit of Chávez and then a chosen (but as yet unnamed) successor. President Hugo Chávez has now had at least four rounds of chemotherapy and now declares himself free of cancer, though oncology experts and even one of his former doctors wonder if this can really be true.
