MEXICO: Peña Nieto names crime-fighting regions

The Mexican government has listed the five ‘operative regions’ into which the country will be divided to tailor responses to specific public security concerns and threats posed by organised crime. There is a broad correlation between these regions and the zones of influence of the principal drug-trafficking organisations (DTOs) operating in Mexico.
