Colombia’s Farc turns to ICC over JEP

Development: On 19 November, the leader of Colombia’s recently demobilised guerrilla group Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia (Farc), ‘Timochenko’ (Rodrigo Londoño Echeverri), requested a meeting with the chief prosecutor at the International Criminal Court (ICC), Fatou Bom Bensouda, to discuss the details of the transitional justice system (JEP) that Colombia is to apply to former Farc guerrillas as part of the peace deal reached with government last year.
