Uruguay: The national statistics agency (INE) has reported that, in December 2017, the consumer price index fell 0.31% compared with the previous month, bringing the cumulative 12-month inflation rate to 6.55%. This falls within the central bank (BCU)’s target of 3%-7% and is the lowest 12-month inflation rate recorded since 2009.
