Mexico & Nafta - February 2018 (ISSN 1741-444X)

Introduction

The February 2018 edition of the Latin American Regional Report: Mexico & Nafta focuses on what some of the legacies will be of the outgoing federal government led by President Enrique Peña Nieto, left to the new government that is to be elected in the 1 July general election, such as its efforts to improve education. It also analyses the electoral prospects of the new broad opposition coalition that has been formed to try to win the presidency, as well as emerging changes to Mexico’s public security landscape that have yet to be addressed by the Mexican government.
