* Mexico’s national statistics institute (Inegi) has released new figures which show that unemployment in the last quarter of 2017 remained at 3.4%, the same as the previous quarter. According to the Inegi data, unemployment was 3.3% in the whole of 2017, down from 3.5% in 2016. The figures also show the percentage of active population working in the informal sector in the last quarter of 2017 was 56.8%, down from 57% in the previous quarter.
