Paraguay: The Paraguayan government has announced some G$445bn (US$80m) in cuts to the national budget (equivalent to 0.6% of total budget). This followed the authorisation of an increase of some G$445bn in public sector salaries under the 2018 budget approved last year by the natioanl congress. According to national daily,
ABC Color, as a result of the cuts, the finance ministry’s budget has been reduced by around G$49bn, the health sector budget by approximately G$60bn, and the public works ministry's budget by G$51bn.
