Argentina: Argentina’s national statistics institute (Indec) has released new economic figures, which show that the country’s GDP increased by at least 2.8% December 2017. The Indec figures show that economic activity in December 2017 increased by 2% year-on-year and by 0.6% compared with the previous month. With the 2017 full fourth quarter figures to be released in coming days, the Indec report said that yearly third-quarter growth stood at 4.2%. Argentina’s GDP contracted by 2.3% in 2016 after posting moderate growth of 2.15% in 2015.
