* Brazil registered a trade surplus of US$6.3bn in March according to the industry & trade ministry (MDIC), down 12% from the same month in 2017. Imports rose to US$13.8bn and exports remained almost unchanged at US$20.1bn. This brings Brazil’s trade surplus for the first three months of this year to US$14bn, down 3.1% on the same time last year.
