In brief: Paraguay

Paraguay: The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has revised up its 2018 GDP growth projection for Paraguay. In the latest edition of its World Economic Outlook (WEO) report, released on 17 April, the IMF projects that Paraguay’s GDP will increase by 4.5% this year, higher than the 4% previously forecast. The IMF report notes that Paraguay’s new GDP growth projection is now the highest in South America and well above the 1.7% sub-regional average.
