EL SALVADOR: Awaiting salvation by the 30-somethings?

After the early March local and legislative elections, one interpretation of Salvadorean politics is that the two-party system is now in crisis, perhaps even in its death-throes. An older generation of politicians is failing to connect with the electorate. The scene could be set for a younger generation, represented, among others, by 30-somethings Nayib Bukele and Johnny Wright, to start shaking things up.
