* In March, the Brazilian labour market added 56,151 new jobs, according to the country’s employment register (Caged). Of all sectors, services and manufacturing took on the most new-hires, whereas agriculture and retail are laying off workers. The labour market has recovered faster in the south of Brazil, whereas job losses were registered in the country’s north and north-eastern areas.
