*An operating company for Viracopos, the second-biggest cargo airport in Brazil located in the municipality of Campinas, São Paulo state, has filed for bankruptcy. The decision was announced by Triunfo Participações e Investimentos (TPI) which owns 45% of the airport’s operator, Aerolinhas Brasileiras SA (ABSA). It comes as the company moves to re-restructure R$2.88bn (US$813m) of debt, according to financial daily
Valor Econômico. In a statement, TPI said that while it rebalanced its finances the Viracopos airport would keep running.
