Uruguay: Credit ratings agency Standard & Poor’s (S&P) has said that Uruguay has made “considerable” progress in “decoupling its economy from those of its regional neighbours”. S&P affirmed Uruguay’s ‘BBB’ long-term rating (two grades above investment) and 'stable' outlook. This reflects Uruguay’s “track record of balanced growth and the economy’s external position”, the credit agency wrote.
