* Brazil’s industry & trade ministry (MDIC) has reported that Brazil posted a trade surplus of US$ 1.92bn in the third week of May (14 to 20). Exports were worth US$ 5.93bn and imports were worth US$ 3.37bn. This brings the cumulative trade surplus for the first five months of the year to US$25.38bn, 3.2% below the amount registered during the same period in 2017.
