In brief: Mexico

* Mexico’s national statistics institute (Inegi) has released new figures which show that the national unemployment rate in April was 3.4%. This compares with 3.5% in April 2017 and 3.3% in March 2018. Earlier this month Inegi released figures which showed that unemployment in the first quarter of 2018 was 3.14%, down from 3.39% in the same period the previous year.
