President Sebastián Piñera has unveiled the gender policy of his right-of-centre Chile Vamos coalition government which includes a dozen measures aimed at promoting gender equity. Yet these offerings have singularly failed to impress women’s rights groups such as Coordinación Feminista Universitaria (Confeu), which is part of the main students’ organisation, Confech.
