The crisis that Venezuela is experiencing has generated a massive migration of Venezuelans to its bordering countries and had increased the levels of human trafficking, sexual abuse, exploitation, and trafficking of Venezuelan women and girls in other countries. The mass migration is motivated by an extreme degradation of the political, socio-economic and institutional reality of Venezuela that started in 2006.
