Peru: Julio Velarde, the president of Peru’s central bank (BCRP), has said that Peru’s 2018 economic growth figures could be revised upwards. According to the state news agency Andina, Velarde said “We are going to publish the inflation report next September, and GDP has taken an upward turn,” adding that the Peruvian economy expanded by 4.83% in the first five months of the year, while the current GDP growth projection for this year is 4%.
