Guatemala: Morales fights the UN

You’d think they should both be on the same side. President Jimmy Morales was elected in late 2015 on an anti-corruption platform. The UN-supported International Commission against Impunity in Guatemala (Comisión Internacional Contra la Impunidad en Guatemala – CICIG) as the name suggests, has been helping the country fight corruption since 2006. But relations between the two are far from friendly.
