Peru: Peru’s council of ministers has announced that it has approved four legislative decrees aimed at combating tax evasion and avoidance, as well as money laundering. Economy & Finance Minister Carlos Oliva explained that the decrees, issued under the temporary legislative powers awarded to the executive by the national congress, promote the use of receipts for electronic payments, call for firms to clearly state who their owners are, and introduce changes to corporate tax regulations, among other things.
