Peru: Peru’s economy & finance minister, Carlos Oliva, has said that the government is revising up its GDP growth projections for 2018 to 4%, up from 3.6%, citing improved economic indicators. Peru’s GDP grew by 2.5% in 2017 according to the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America & the Caribbean (Eclac). Growth in the first quarter of 2018 was 3.2% year-on-year according to the central bank (BCRP).
