Bolivia: The latest figures released by a local private sector lobby, IBCE, show that Bolivia’s exports in the first half of 2018 totalled US$4.3bn, up 18% compared with the same period in 2017 while imports were up 5% to reach US$4.6bn. The  report shows that Bolivia’s trade deficit reached US$115m, 81% less than the deficit registered in the same period in 2017. The main markets for Bolivia’s exports in the first half of 2018 were Brazil (which accounted for 18% of the total), Argentina (17%), and South Korea. The main sources of imports were China (20%), Brazil (17%), and Argentina (11%).
