Peru: Peru’s foreign trade & tourism minister, Rogers Valencia, has reported that in the first half of the year the country’s exports totalled US$15.15bn, a 20.1% increase compared to the same period last year. Valencia said that the increase in exports was driven by increased shipments from the fishing and agricultural sectors thanks to increased production in the northern areas of the country. The minister also reported that the main export markets for Peruvian products during the period were China, the US, and India, which together accounted for 52% of all exports.
