Brazil: Essential reading for presidential candidates
Brazil has a crime problem. Thirteen presidential candidates say that if elected, they can begin to fix it. Crime and violence will certainly be a hot topic in the political rhetoric surrounding the October elections. In an effort to provide a more considered and expert view, three Brazilian think tanks have just published a report titled Segurança Pública é Solução (Public Safety is the Solution), with quite detailed proposed action plans.
