* Brazil’s labour ministry (MTB) has released the latest figures from the country’s general employment registry (Caged) which show that the domestic economy created over 47,300 formal jobs in July. This is a slight increase (0.12%) on the number of jobs created in June this year. Six of the eight economic sectors saw an increase in job creation, particularly the agriculture & farming sector (17,455 new jobs), the services sector (14,548), and the construction sector (10,063).
