‘Santa Rosa storm’ is the name given to a climatic phenomenon that regularly produces violent storms in the Southern Hemisphere either a few days before or a few days after the feast of Santa Rosa de Lima, celebrated on 30 August. This year, a political version of the phenomenon appears to be sweeping through Paraguay.
