Brazil’s industry, foreign trade & services ministry (MDIC) has reported that the country registered a trade surplus of US$4.97bn in September, with exports totalling US$19.09bn and imports US$14.12bn. This represents a 3.9% decrease compared to the September 2017 trade surplus. Brazil’s overall trade balance for January-September 2018 records a US$42.65bn surplus, a 19.9% decrease compared to the same period last year.
