* Brazil’s council of coffee exporters (Cecafé) has released figures showing that the country exported 3.02m 60-kg bags of coffee in September, a 24% year-on-year increase. However, revenue increased only 0.7% (totalling US$410.3m) as the average price per bag has fallen by 18.6% compared with September 2017. Over the first nine months of 2018, Brazil exported a total 23.6m bags of coffee, a 7.3% increase on the same period last year.
