* Brazil’s national statistics institute (IBGE) estimates that the September crop of cereals, legumes, and oilseeds in the country will total 226.2m tonnes, a 6% decrease on the September 2017 crop. Rice, maize, and soya are expected to make up 92.8% of the harvest. Soya production is projected to increase by 2% year-on-year, while maize and rice production are projected to decrease by 18.6% and 5.7% respectively.
