In brief: Colombia

* Colombia’s national statistics agency (Dane) has announced that the consumer price index (IPC) in October was up 0.12% compared to the previous month, bringing the year-on-year inflation rate to 3.33%. As reported by Dane, the rise in the IPC is primarily due to a monthly increase in prices in the housing and transport sectors (0.36% and 0.20% respectively). Dane’s figures also show that the accumulated IPC for the period from January to October this year reached 2.75%, compared to 3.50% accumulated over the same period last year.
