* Nicaragua’s central bank (BCN) has released its latest figures on remittances which show that these reached US$128.9m in October 2018, up 8.8% year-on-year. The total number of remittances received in the first ten months of 2018 were US$1.23bn, up 7.7% on the same period in 2017. Of the total, 55.6% were from the US, 19.4% from Costa Rica, and 11.2% from Spain.
