LatinNews Regional Monitor: Mexico - 10 December 2018

In brief: Mexico

* Mexico’s national statistics institute (Inegi) has released the latest figures for the national consumer price index (INPC), which show that monthly inflation reached 0.85% month-on-month in November. Yearly inflation totals 4.72%, a decrease on the 4.9% yearly inflation recorded in October. The slight decrease in inflation can be attributed to a positive base effect (yearly inflation totalled 6.63% in November last year) and to the drop in global energy prices.
