Supporters of Nayib Bukele, the frontrunner ahead of presidential elections on 3 February, burst into the offices of the supreme electoral tribunal (TSE) on 6 December. Bukele, who is standing for the centre-right Gran Alianza por la Unidad Nacional (Gana), used social media to urge supporters to march on the TSE headquarters denouncing electoral fraud.
