* Mexico’s national statistics institute (Inegi) has published figures which show a 0.6% fall in national industrial activity in November 2018 compared with the previous month while the year-on-year figure was down 1.3%. The figures reveal that mining sector activity fell by 2.3% in November 2018 compared with the previous month, while construction sector activity fell by 1.9%. The generation, transmission and distribution of electricity, and water and gas supplies by pipelines to consumers increaed by 1.4%, while manufacturing industries increased by 1%.
