* Mexico’s national statistics institute (Inegi) has released new figures which show that the country’s trade balance of goods registered a deficit of US$13.7bn in 2018, up from US$11.0bn in 2017. Exports in 2018 totalled US$450.6bn (up from US$409.4bn in 2017) while imports reached US$464.3bn (up from US$420.4bn).
