In brief: Colombia

* According to figures from Colombia’s national statistics agency (Dane) and Colombia’s tax authority (Dian), Colombia’s exports totalled US$41.83bn in 2018, up 10.4% on the previous year. This increase is partially explained by increases in oil exports (up 27.3%) and from the extractive industry (up 17.5%). In 2018, the US was the main destination for Colombia’s exports, accounting for 25.4% of the total value of exports.
