Jair Bolsonaro announced on Twitter that upcoming airport concessions will generate R$3.5bn (US$938m) in investment.
Bolsonaro confirmed that concessions for 12 airport terminals will be auctioned on 15 March, split into three groups: a south-eastern bloc (two airports in Rio de Janeiro and Espíritu Santo states) expected to generate R$592m (US$159m), a midwest bloc (four airports all in the state of Mato Grosso) projected to yield R$771m (US$207m) in investments, and a north-eastern bloc (six airports across five states) to be auctioned for a total of R$2.153bn (US$577m).
