On 2 March, the Movimiento Campesino de Nicaragua peasant farmers’ organisation grouping announced that its representatives were joining the negotiating team of the Alianza Cívica por la Justicia y la Democracia political opposition group that is currently engaged in a new dialogue process with the Nicaraguan government led by President Daniel Ortega to try to resolve the country’s political and social crisis.
