In brief: Bolivia

* The United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (Eclac) has revised its economic growth forecast for Bolivia for 2019 increasing it to 4.4% up from 4.3%. In an interview with TV channel CNN, Eclac Executive Secretary Alicia Bárcena stated that Bolivia is set to attain the second highest growth in the region this year, behind the Dominican Republic. Eclac’s forecast approaches that of the Bolivian government, which is forecasting 4.5% growth this year.
