Tighter sanctions on Venezuela make life tricky for Cuban government

The US government is ratcheting up the pressure on the Venezuelan administration led by President Nicolás Maduro, cracking down on those international trading relationships that are perceived to sustain the Maduro government. A lifting of the Title III waiver of the Helms-Burton Act is also likely. The Cuban economy will struggle as a result.
