Argentina: Economic crisis shows no signs of abating six months before election
It has been another torrid month for Mauricio Macri and Argentina’s beleaguered economy. The country is just six months out from its pivotal 27 October general election (for which Macri announced his pre-candidacy on 3 April), and investors’ faith in his ability to revive what has long been among the region’s most volatile economies appear to have been misplaced.
