* President Juan Orlando Hernández has announced he will revoke two decrees which affect the health and education sectors, which unions warned would result in the privatisation of both sectors and job losses. His announcement regarding the two reforms, which were first approved on 25 April, are in line with demands from Colegio Médico Hondureño (CMH) and Colegio Profesional Superación Magisterial Hondureño (Colprosumah) which have been staging mass protests since late April, calling for their revocation.
