Despite tariffs, will BMW prosper in Mexico?

There is a time lag on any investment decision. German car maker BMW took the decision to build its first plant in Mexico in July 2014. Now, almost five years later, the US$1bn-plus plant has just opened in San Luis Potosí. With the rise of US protectionism the business climate facing BMW is undoubtedly more difficult. But BMW executives remain optimistic.
