Mauricio Macri revealed that his goverment is discussing with its Brazilian counterpart led by President
Jair Bolsonaro, the possibility of joint negotiations to advance a free trade agreement with the US. President Macri’s remarks come six days after the Southern Common Market (Mercosur) trade bloc reached a trade agreement with the European Union (EU). Macri also commented that Argentina’s foreign ministry is considering discussions with Brazil with regard to possible trade deals with China.
